I’m Abigail Sinclair, a Freelance Web Designer & WordPress Developer in Liverpool

I’m a freelance web designer and WordPress developer based in Liverpool, UK, creating fast, accessible, and easy-to-manage websites for small businesses, creative teams, and marketing agencies across the UK.

I specialise in bespoke WordPress themes and Shopify customisations, blending design clarity with solid front-end development. My work balances creativity, usability, and long-term maintainability.

Creative background

I’ve been building websites for over 15 years, starting as a student experimenting with design briefs and side projects.

In 2010, I began my professional web design career at a Liverpool agency, eventually moving into senior roles before going freelance in 2017.

These days, I combine my agency experience with an independent, personal approach, helping clients who care about quality, speed, and accessibility.

Freelancing gives me the freedom to choose projects that feel meaningful.

I collaborate with small business owners and creative teams who want their websites to do more than just exist online. People who want their websites to reflect who they are and grow with them.

I’m not interested in churning out generic templates. If I take on a project, it’s because I believe in it and know I can make it shine.

Beyond the screen

Outside client work, I co-organise Liverpool Print Fair, a biannual art market celebrating affordable printmaking.

I’m also a compulsive maker. When I make time for personal work, I create art prints, take photos, draw in my sketchbook, and try my hand a new skills through a variety of creative workshops.

This crossover between art and tech shapes how I design. I draw inspiration from a large range of sources and I thoughtfully apply this to my web design process.

Mostly bespoke WordPress sites, built from scratch or modernised from older themes. I also provide Shopify services such as bespoke theme customisation and store setup.

Both. I collaborate with PR and marketing agencies such as Poke Marketing, We Are Pink, and Listen Creative, as well as freelance graphic designers and SEO experts. I also work directly with small business owners.

Every project is different, but most start around £1,800 for a small custom WordPress build. I currently charge £48/hour for development work.

There are options for smaller budgets as well, suitable for people whose focus isn’t on more bespoke design services.

Yes, I can provide ad-hoc support, content updates, and ongoing maintenance on request.

Yes. I’m based in Liverpool but work with clients across the UK.
